After Your Breathwork Session: How Do You Support Yourself?

Wow, congratulations! You’ve just completed a powerful experience one that likely touched your body, emotions, energy, and mind. I want to honor you for showing up today and remind you: You’ve done something courageous and brave for yourself!

As you now know Revelation Breathwork is dynamic. It stirs the nervous system, moves old energy, shifts hormones, and invites emotions to surface. It’s normal to feel different afterwards and that’s okay, in some ways I bet it was your goal, to change a little. That’s healing, that is what it is all about. We didn’t come here to stay stagnant and we know life is better as an evolution, one that progresses around us.

My first Revelation Breathwork session brought up a lot and put it in my line of sight so I couldn’t look away. Emotions I had been trying to stay in front of, physical sensations that seemed to jolt my entire being created a more intimate connection to my body, making space to hear the guidance Spirit had been whispering to me all along. The guidance and clarity seemed to last for days and now I know that like any regular mindfulness practice it is allowing me to integrate parts of myself I kept hidden and bring back a kind, loving, caring inner voice.

Below is some support for you over the next few days as your system integrates everything that’s moved within.

Gentle Reminders for the Next Few Days

1. Be kind to yourself.

Move slower. Speak softer. Offer grace if you feel more sensitive or emotional. You’ve opened important doors within your system and walked through them, maybe for the first time. Acknowledge the courage it took to meet yourself exactly where you are, some people can barely look themselves in the eyes and you jumped in feet first, I am proud of you!

2. Listen to your body’s needs.

If you feel drawn to rest, walk, stretch, journal, eat, or simply sit in stillness follow the knowing. Every time you honor what your body is asking for, you strengthen the connection between you and your inner wisdom, intuition, intelligence. Cultivating your inner compass

3. Create space for reflection.

Allow yourself quiet time to feel what’s present whether that’s calm, an emotion, fatigue, or a sense of openness. There’s no rush. Let your feelings and thoughts flow naturally without judgment or an inner monologue.

4. Understand that heightened sensitivity is normal.

You may feel emotions rising or notice your body responding more acutely to things around you. Allow whatever surfaces. Breathe into it. Let it move through you.

5. Pay attention to your emotional landscape.

Notice how you respond to situations and interactions. You might experience:

  • Fatigue: Your body may be asking for deep rest.

  • Irritability: This can be old energy coming up, consider pausing, breathing, and getting curious.

  • Waves of emotion: Breathwork reconnects you to your body’s natural emotional intelligence. Feeling more is part of healing.

  • Heightened body sensations: Intuition and emotion often speak through the body first. Trust the messages, even if they feel unfamiliar.

Remember: Most emotions naturally move through the body in about 60-90 seconds. If an emotion lingers longer, it may be caught in a mental loop or story. Gently return to your breath or journal with intention to help it move.

If your mind feels busy or heavy, writing is a beautiful tool to release the noise and reconnect to yourself.

If sleep feels difficult tonight, know that’s normal too. Breathwork can awaken energy that needs time to settle. Trust that your body will recalibrate.

What’s Next in Your Breathwork Experience?

It all depends, if you’re here to try something new, honor your curiosity, it is part of your growth. If you feel called to go deeper such as working through subconscious patterns, releasing old emotions, and creating real, lasting change it’s important to note consistency is key. If you feel like you need additional support a Theta session may be helpful to resolve ancestral patterning or unhealthy life themes that keep showing up.

I recommend committing to several Breathwork sessions over time to truly support lasting shifts. Healing happens layer by layer, and with compassion and patience, deep transformations unfold as old stories come up to be reprocessed and resolved.

Always Remember: Care for Your Body, Too

Hydration: Drink plenty of water after your session. Water supports our emotional and physical clearing. When we’re hydrated, everything flows more easily.

Rest and Sleep: Give yourself enough downtime. Restorative sleep allows your nervous system to reset, repair, and integrate everything that moved.

Movement: Move your body in simple ways such as walks, stretching, yoga, or other gentle exercise.

Healing Is a Process

Healing your nervous system, your trauma, and your emotional world is a gradual, often non-linear path. There will be smooth stretches and bumpy patches and both are part of the process. Sometimes after a few sessions, new layers arise. It might feel like you’re going backward, but you’re not, you’re moving deeper able to view the material from a different perspective and wisdom, like peeling the layers of an onion. Trust the cycle of your healing, it knows the way, even when your mind doesn’t.

When you’re ready to go deeper, I’m here beside you either with another breathwork session or a Theta or Energy Healing Session.
