Revelation Breathwork as a Somatic Release Practice
At Compass of Compassion, I believe healing is more than just a quiet mind or a deep breath. It’s about fully coming home to your body gently, and completely.
While many breathwork styles emphasize controlled breathing patterns or calming the nervous system, Revelation Breathwork is something different. It’s not just about the breath it’s a somatic practice. That means it invites your whole being, your mind, body, and spirit, to participate in your release.
What Makes Revelation Breathwork Unique?
This trauma-informed practice uses a powerful three-part breath that activates the body’s natural capacity to clear emotional, physical, and energetic stagnation. Here’s what truly sets it apart: you’re encouraged to move, to feel, to release in whatever way your body is asking.
During a session, you may find yourself:
Releasing sound such as a sigh, a yell, a cry, a growl, whatever wants to come through
Stretching or rocking gently, rolling your head or moving your hips
Rotating your wrists or ankles, shaking off stagnant energy
Placing your hands on your heart, womb, chest, or belly any place that calls for touch or grounding
Letting tears fall or laughter rise, without needing to understand why
In Revelation Breathwork, we don’t try to control your experience, we honor it. We listen to your body’s wisdom. It speaks in sensation, movement, sound, and stillness, each breath becoming a conversation between your body and your soul.
Why It Matters
We are taught to override our body’s signals to quiet our voice, still our shaking, hold back our tears. Revelation Breathwork is an invitation to do the opposite. To let the body complete what it’s been holding on to. To let the nervous system unwind naturally. To let Spirit in. This is breathwork for those ready to feel deeply, move authentically, and heal on every level.
Come As You Are -
You don’t need experience. You don’t need to know what needs to be released. You only need a willingness to show up for yourself. Join us for a Revelation Breathwork session and discover the freedom that lives on the other side of your breath.
When Breathwork Feels Too Much: A Compassionate Alternative Not all breathwork is created equal.
For some, breathwork can open the floodgates to emotions and sensations that feel overwhelming, unfamiliar, or even frightening. Maybe you’ve tried a class before with loud music, intense instructions, leaving you to navigate a tidal wave of feelings on your own. Maybe it left you feeling raw, ungrounded, or even more disconnected.
I want you to know: that’s not what I offer here. At Compass of Compassion, I facilitate Revelation Breathwork through a trauma-informed lens. This means your nervous system, your emotional safety, and your inner experience are honored every step of the way.
Breathwork That Holds You
As energy begins to shift and move through your body, I am there not just as a facilitator, but as a witness, a guide, and with energetic support.
I offer gentle cues to help you tune into your body: your hips, your chest, your jaw, your hands.
I encourage movement when needed: perhaps a stretch, a sound, or a tender hand placed over your heart.
I may ask you to bring your attention to places where stagnation is stored, not to push through, but to support release.
I watch for signs your body is moving through an old pattern, and I support that process with energy and compassion, not force.
Some of these somatic patterns are deeply embedded held since childhood or shaped by past experiences. They may feel intense when they surface but the truth is: you have to feel it to heal it. This work isn’t about bypassing your pain. It’s about meeting it with presence, in a space where you are fully seen and supported.
A Space for Integration
In this space, your healing may take many forms:
Your body softening, letting go of years of tension, bracing, or emotional armor
A shift inside that feels like your inner world is reorganizing, making space for who you are becoming
The inner child finally having space to cry
Here, you are not pushed past your limits, you are honored in the moment. Every breath is met with care, every release is held.
Your Invitation to Heal
If you’ve been curious about active breathwork but afraid to go there this is your invitation. You don’t have to do it alone. You don’t have to be ready for everything at once. You just have to take one breath and allow your body to guide the rest. I’m here, holding space for all of it with compassion, safety, and reverence for you.
